My Meeting Report on the Keystone Symposia meeting entitled “Omics Meets Cell Biology” has been published in the Autumn 2009 issue of the BSCB Newsletter.
I attended the Keystone Symposia on Molecular and Cellular Biology: Omics Meets Cell Biology meeting from 25–30 January 2009 in the snowy heights of Breckenridge, Colorado, USA. The conference, the first Omics Meets Cell Biology Keystone Symposium, brought together leading experts in cell biology and “omics” technologies (genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, etc.) to discuss the ever-growing interface between the two disciplines.
The meeting was a great success and tackled very current issues regarding the quantitative, global and high-throughput analysis of biological molecules. I presented a poster on data which has since been published in Science Signaling, and I enjoyed many interesting discussions with colleagues (and some great skiing, too!). I am grateful to the British Society for Cell Biology for the Honor Fell Travel Award that enabled me to attend this conference.
I also designed the cover of the magazine featuring my Meeting Report, highlighting the theme of the Omics Meets Cell Biology meeting.
