Yesterday was my first day in a new job.

After several years as a postdoc at the University of Manchester, in the laboratory of Professor Martin Humphries in the Wellcome Trust Centre for Cell-Matrix Research, I have moved to a new position at the University of Edinburgh, working in the lab of Professor Margaret Frame in the Edinburgh Cancer Research UK Centre.

I had a fantastic time in the Humphries Lab, where I worked on cell adhesion complexes, developing and implementing approaches to analyse the molecules in these complexes using proteomics. I will be building upon these approaches in my new position, where I’m looking forward to understanding how cell adhesion molecules control cancer biology.

An exciting new challenge awaits up north!
